UDHAMPUR, June 25: A deputation of Association of Industries Udhampur met with the Chief Engineer PDD during his official visit here and submitted a memorandum of demands.
The deputation was headed by Udhay Veer Singh along with the members of executive body of the Association and discussed the problem being faced by the unit holders. They demanded 24 hours regular power supply, adequate voltage, laying of LT lines in all facets of Industrial area, operation of 33KV line from grid to Battal Ballian Industrial area etc.
The association stressed that 33KV lines should be made functional as soon as possible so that the maximum problems related to power supply can be permanently resolved. “Now a days, it has become very difficult to run units because of low voltage, which is also damaging the motors,” they said.
After listening to the problems of the unit holder, the Chief Engineer assured that the PDD would solve all the problems and 33KV lines shall be made operational within a month time. He also assured the Association that if any unit holder faces problem in getting a new connection, he may directly call him as the PDD department is always ready to serve the public.
