Sir,
The article “India’s Phenomenal Economic Ascent” (May 29) is a timely reflection of how far the nation has progressed economically in the last decade. Rising from the “fragile five” to the fourth-largest global economy is no small feat.
The Modi Government’s structural reforms-GST, IBC, Digital India, and infrastructure drives-have laid a strong foundation for sustained growth. The formalization of the economy and expanded financial inclusion are commendable.
However, as the article rightly notes, challenges like youth unemployment, regional imbalances, and climate resilience must be addressed urgently. The vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 is inspiring, but execution will be key.
Public-private synergy, robust skilling programs, and inclusive development are vital for realizing India’s USD 30 trillion ambition.
