NEW DELHI, Oct 18: “Petrotech Special Technical Award” for project management has been conferred on the project team of Indian Oil Refineries Division for completing the motor spirit quality up-gradation project at Barauni, Guwahati and Digboi Refineries in a record time of 32 months.
The award was received by Raj Kumar Ghosh, Director, Refineries, from RPN Singh, Union State Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas in New Delhi.
Raj Kumar Ghosh was accompanied by SK Ghosh, Executive Director, Projects, SK Singhai, General Manager, Projects, SK Patra, Deputy General Manager, Projects, Guwahati Refinery, K Bora, General Manager, Digboi Refinery and RK Chug, General Manager, Barauni Refinery.
Secretary, Petroleum and Natural Gas, GC Chaturvedi and Chairman, Indian oil, RS Butola also shared the dais.
Indian Oil’s efforts for project excellence were appreciated for successfully implementing the “Auto Fuel Quality Upgradation Projects at North Eastern/ Eastern Refineries of Indian Oil” in spite of all odds like remoteness of the project site, logistics and technological constraints, etc.
The auto fuel quality improvement projects were undertaken by Indian Oil on war footing in order to meet the road map of meeting auto fuel policy from the year 2010.
Indian Oil is modernizing its process units, power and utility generating units as well as storage and dispatch facilities on a continuous basis to improve operational efficiency and also to meet better product quality from time to time.
