NEW DELHI : India today dispatched over 40 tonnes of relief material to tropical cyclone battered South Pacific island nation of Fiji. A C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force, carrying 20 tonnes of medicine and food took off from Palam Airport here, an official spokesperson said. The aircraft is heading to Chennai where 20 tonnes of tentage will be picked up before it fly to its destination. At least 42 people were killed in Fiji after Tropical Cyclone Winston hit the island nation with more than 34,000 people stranded in evacuation centres around the country. (AGENCIES)
