All India Police Football C’ship from Feb 1

JAMMU, Jan 29: Jammu and Kashmir Police is hosting BN Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2nd time in the State from February 1.
According to the reports, a total of 37 teams comprising of 900 players and 120 officials from all over India have confirmed  participation in the Championship, the opening ceremony of which will be held at Gulshan Ground, Jammu on February 1.
The event will be played at three different locations in Jammu, wherein  84 matches will be played which include 68 league matches and 16 pre-quarter to finals. The final match of the championship will be held at Jammu University on February 11.
This Football Championship will be conducted on league cum knock out basis under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board in accordance with the rules and regulations of All India Football Federation. The J&K Football Association is actively associated with J&K Police.
Elaborate arrangements for comfortable stay for participants have been made out at Yatri Niwas Bagwati Nagar Jammu and Police Flats at Sidhra, while for Senior Officials and Managers stay at J&K Police GOs/SDRF/ CRPF Mess and Guest Houses/ Hotels in Jammu have been arranged.
