Excelsior Correspondent
POONCH, Jan 15: Former MLA Mendhar, Rafiq Hussain Khan has said that both India and Pakistan must resolve the core issues and work together for the permanent restoration of peace on the borders and Kashmir Valley.
In a press statement here today Khan said that since Independence India and Pakistan have been at loggerheads over Kashmir issue. Both the countries fought three wars during last 70 years. In Kashmir peoples are not satisfied with their leaders as well as with the Govt of India. There is also identity crisis in Kashmir.
Religious intolerance also touch Kashmir people. It is clear that Kashmiri people are confronting New Delhi’s harsh tactics and speaking for their right. Situation in Kashmir is tense and Govt of India uses increasingly harsh method to clamp down aspirations of Kashmiris.
The force is being used against Kashmir people resulting into unaccountable deaths and destruction of property on large scale. The forces continuous to use brutal method to crush dissent in Kashmir. The unabated killings in Kashmir compelled youths to leave their study halfway and join anti- India forces. It also compelled young Kashmiris to resign from their services .
The protest by Kashmir’s IAS topper Shah Faesal and resign from his service is another example . The Govt of India should think how to resolve this issue of Kashmir without bloodshed and take initiative with fruitful dialogue between India , Pakistan and Kashmir people is the only solution of Kashmir crisis.
