India, Pak Army operations’ chiefs hold talks over truce violations

NEW DELHI :  Military Operations chiefs  of India and Pakistani Army held talks over the hotline  today, a couple of days after fierce exchange of fire  along the International boundary and Line of Control  almost stopped.
Both sides have reportedly blamed each other for recent ceasefire violations underscoring the need to exercise restraint in future.
An Army official here confirmed to UNI that Director General Military Operations (DGMO) of Indian Army Lt Gen P R Kumar spoke to his Pakistan counterpart Major Amir Riyaz over hotline and ‘discussed the routine’ matters.     ‘Functional level DGMO talks took place today,’ said the official without giving more details.
