India-Korea signs $10bn agreements

NEW DELHI: India and Korea today signed two agreements for concessional credit worth 10 billion dollar by the later for as concessional credit funding for infrastructure development projects in India. The agreements were signed in the presence of the Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs and Defence, Arun Jaitley who reached South Korean Capital Seoul today where he reviewed the international economic situation, India-Korea bilateral economic ties and defence relations.

In his presence agreements to establish 9 billion dollar in concessional credit and 1 billion dollar in ODA funding for infrastructure development projects in India, were also signed by the officials.

The signing of the agreements were the outcome of a decision taken during the State Visit of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi to South Korea in May 2015.  (AGENCIES)
