JAMMU, Oct 30: BJP J&K spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said that the Indian-nation has nothing to hide in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing series of programmes in the Konkan area of Maharashtra organised in various areas of outer Mumbai in order to take forward the positive Kashmir narrative afresh
Chrungoo, said that the visit of European Union lawmakers to J&K need to be welcomed keeping in view the position of India in the international arena.
Addressing a well attended programme today at Abhyudaya Pratishthan-Dombivili, Chrungoo said “it is the recognition of not only our position in the international affairs but also recognition of our political narrative as well”.
The programme was presided over by Joshi, RSS Prant Sampark Pramukh and attended among others by Ashirwad Bonde, secretary, Abhudaya Pratishthan and Ravindra Chauhan MLA, Dombivili. Chrungoo was facilitated in the function for his relentless campaign on Kashmir over the last three decades.
Chrungoo, who was recently assigned the responsibilities of “Global Hindu Thought Leaders Conference” Kashmir2020 as the chairman of its organising committee, in his presentation emphasized upon the fact that Article 370 and Article 35A are the biggest two topics which have extensive public discussion and discourse over the last seven decades besides the issue of Ramjambhumi. It is important to counter and reject the false political narrative on Jammu and Kashmir. The policy of the Government of India that “terror and talks will not go together” is an important guiding principle that has been endorsed by the people of India”.
India will now talk to Pakistan only on the Pak occupied areas of Jammu & Kashmir including Gilgit, Baltistan, Hunza, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad and Kotli. This policy guideline is enshrined in the unanimous parliamentary resolution of 1994 which was endorsed by all the constituents of the Indian political class. The Government led by PM Modi has clarified its stand in this connection a number of times.
The people of the rest of India are invited to visit Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in due course of time as these places belong to them historically, culturally, politically, spiritually and constitutionally. BJP has acted upon the promises it made to the people at large in respect of Jammu and Kashmir. The establishment of peace is incidental to elimination of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
The security forces have been doing a yeoman job to maintain calm, law and order and peace in the valley, he said..
