THIMPHU, Nov 25: India and Bhutan will hold the second round of development cooperation talks in New Delhi tomorrow for Bhutan’s 11th Five Year Plan for which India has committed a total of Rs 45 billion.
The Bhutanese delegation to the Second Bhutan-India Development Cooperation Talks for the 11th Five Year Plan, will be led by Foreign Secretary Yeshey Dorji while the Indian delegation will be led by Additional Secretary of Development Partnership Administration in the Ministry of External Affairs, Sujatha Mehta.
The Indian government has committed a total of Rs 45 billion for the 11th Five Year Plan and a separate package of Rs 5 billion for the Economic Stimulus Plan.
During the visit, Dorji will also call on Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh.
The first round of Bhutan-India Development Cooperation talks were held in Thimphu in August soon after Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay’s People’s Democratic Party came to power following Bhutan’s second national elections in July. (PTI)
