Sir,
The State Government has increased the daily allowance, medical allowance of the State and Legislators quite drastically. It is also expected that pensions of ex-MLAs shall also be increased as reportedin newspapers. The law makers as and when desire get their salaries, perks and privileges enhanced. They do so without considering whether State excehquer would bear this border or not. But when they are asked to do the same for employees and pensioners, at that time the State treasury has no money.
Why is not medical allowance of employees or pensioners enhanced on the pattern of MLAs? Diseases do not differentiate whether it is an MLA, a Minister or an employee. Every human being is vulnerable to any disease. Treatments required for every individual need equal expenditures. Therefore, it becomes quite imperative that medical allowances of employees and pensioners be increased on the pattern of MLAs and Ministers.
Yours etc….
