JAMMU, Dec 16: To discuss the issue of new ration cards, All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) held a meeting here today.
The meeting said as the forms are being distributed among the ration card holders with partial attitude of the Food & Supply Minister Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali who has omitted the OBC category from the forms meant for the New Ration Cards.
This attitude of Minister is highly condemnable and asked the minister to make necessary Addition of the OBC category in the forms with a justice attitude.
Members further narrated that if the ration scale and rate have nothing to do with the categories, then “No Category” should be mentioned And if it has some link with the ration scale and ration rate, then all the three categories viz. “SC”, “ST” & OBCs must be shown in the forms and till date the forms distribution to the ration card holders be stalled for such an urgent addition in the forms. Members in the meeting were astonished over such an attitude of the Minister belong to a category for picking up unwarranted tussle with the State OBCs.
The meeting was chaired by its President Abdul Majid Malik in which all the Central Committee Members including M.R Bangotra (Retd. CEO) & Prof. Kali Dass were present.
