RAMBAN, Oct 26: Former Congress MLA from Ramban, Ashok Kumar has urged upon the State Administration to improve condition of roads in Ramban district.
In a press statement issued here today, Ashok Kumar, who is also PCC spokesman said that worst is the condition of Dhalwas Swani link road of Ramban district and it needs immediate repair and black-topping. He pointed out that this 7 kms road which is under PW(R&B) is totally damaged and no repair/ maintenance work was initiated on this road for the last more than six years. He said people of the area are facing lot of hardships due to neglect on the part of R&B authorities. The people from Kathyala, Sawani, Kusmal, Karma, Tulung, Papria, Kasal, Dhalwas and Haman are most affected.
Former MLA pointed out that agency has shown huge amount spent on the maintenance and repair of this road but on ground level no work was initiated. He said not only this link, but many other roads of district Ramban are in bad shape and need immediate repair. They have turned accident prone. He demanded that Chief Engineer R&B Jammu and Deputy Commissioner Ramban must take cognizance of the matter.
