Impressive Nagar Kirtan held at Samba

SAMBA, Jan 8: A Nagar Kirtan was organized in connection with 350th Prakash Utsav of 10th Sikh Guru Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj by members of Sikh community in Samba district today.
An impressive religious procession was taken out in the district which started from Shri Gurdwara Sahib Raika in Ramgarh and concluded at Central Gurdwara Burian Samba. It passed through Gho Brahmana, Rara, Rarian, Kullian, Swankha Morh, Vijaypur etc. A large number of members of Sikh community and members of Hindu community participated in the procession.
The devotees had installed stalls for the procession with eatables, fruits etc.
Minister of Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga was the chief guest on the occasion and he received the religious procession at Swankha Morh. He extended his best wishes to members of Sikh community and also threw light on the teachings and sacrifices of Guru Ji.
Gatka which was the main attraction of the procession was displayed by children, elders and girls on the occasion.
Gurupurab was celebrated by members of Sikh community at Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Gurudwara, Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar Omara Morh Udhampur in collaboration with 137 CRPF Bn, SK Police Academy, Army and local Sangat with full religious enthusiasm and gaiety today.
Bhog Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji started in the morning which was followed by Kirtan, lectures and Dhandi war by various Ragi Jathas including Hazuri Ragi Navjyot Singh, Ragi Satpal Singh and Dhadi Jatha Bhai Daljit Singh from Amritsar.
