Implement Seventh Pay Commission

Sir,
Kindly refer news item, ”Nearly Rs 3 crore spent” DE Jan 29, 2017. As per news in the esteemed paper the Govt has spent more than Rs 3 crore for renovation of bungalows of ministers in 2 years to make them more comfortable without caring for the financial implication when the State authorities often project the case of financial crunch in the State. In addition this, the Govt has hiked CDF from Rs 1.5 crore to 3 crore, TA from 1 lakh to 2 lakhs and sitting fee from Rs 1000 to 2000 in favour of Legislatures without caring for any financial strain on the State exchequer. The State authorities often request the Centre for financial aid for implementation of certain schemes it means that  the State is to a great extent dependent on the Centre to meet the financial exigencies. There was no need to postpone the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. The proposal for which could have  been submitted to the Centre for necessary action. Some other States have implemented or are going to implement the recommendations in favour of their Govt employees.
The State Govt employees who are the backbone of the Govt machinery, are made to suffer unnecessarly. The prices of essential commodities are increasing day by day and it is practically cumbersome  for employees and pensioners to make both ends meet, particularly of pensioners who can’t even meet basic needs especially in the health sector where the doctors fees exceeds Rs 500. The financial crunch was not taken into consideration when salary and other perks of ministers and law makers were hiked to the tune of lakhs of rupees, if the employees and pensioners are not entitled to live a luxurious like ministers atleast they should be allowed  to live a simple life by implementing the recommendations.
Yours etc…
