It is requested to the concerned authorities to implement Cabinet decision No. 184/11/2017 Dated : 3-10-2017 on 10+2 school lecturers and issue Govt order to bring them out from unjustified SRO – 202. It is a recognised fact that throughout the world teachers are given good Pay Scales as part of their noble profession. The application of SRO -202 only on school lecturers cannot be justified when all other gazetted services were kept out of this SRO.
In the recent years, the State Government has resolved majority of issues of teaching community. The issue to revoke SRO-202 on 10+2 lecturers was raised many times in protests and submissions of the Government including CM’s Grievances Cell. The then Education Minister was kind enough to understand the demand. Almost six months have passed but Government order to implement Cabinet decision has not been issued yet. It is pertinent to mention that not salary but dignified life matters for a teacher. These are PSC qualified candidates with Ph.D NET and SET qualifications. If the SRO-202 is not revoked many of them would leave the job to join in KAS, Police, Forest and Revenue Services which have not been included under SRO-202. In order to save the dignity of school lecturers this SRO should be revoked at once. They are willing to serve anywhere but not under the stress of inferiority complex.
