JAMMU, July 23: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held today under the chairmanship of R K Kaul its advisor.
The meeting discussed various problems being faced by displaced youth in general and Jagti inmates in particular.
The meeting expressed concern that the construction work on 40 bedded hospital at Jagti is at snails pace and demanded its early completion so that proper medicare facilities are made available to people there.
The meeting was also addressed by S L Pandita, president of the Committee and P L Thusoo its vice chairman. It expressed concern over prolonged power cuts in the Jagti township, dilapidated condition of road from Kandoli Mata to Jagti township. It demanded announcement of 3000 posts under PM’s package besides 500 class four posts, on spot recruitment in camps and non camp area for displaced youth in police, enhancement of relief and redressal of other problems.
