REASI, July 12: In separate cases, Reasi Police seized illicit liquor from the two bootleggers at holy town Katra and Talwara, here today.
The accused persons have been identified as Sanjay of Chak Bhagta in Katra and Bimbla Devi wife of Kamal Singh of Dugga tehsil Mahore.
Reports said that during checking at holy town Katra where the liquor is totally banned, police recovered 15 nips of 250 mls of J&K Excise liquor from the possession of Sanjay who was selling the same in the market on exorbitant rates. A case U/S 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Katra against the arrested accused.
In other case, Police recovered 53 nips of 180 mls of J&K Excise liquor from the possession of woman drug peddler who was selling the same in the Talwara market.
