JAMMU, May 31: RS Pura and Miran Sahib Police recovered large quantity of illicit liquor and arrested three persons including a lady.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station RS Pura led by Ranjit Singh and assisted by ASI Satpal during patrolling in Dablehar area arrested three persons including a lady along with 100 litres of illicit liquor.
The arrested persons were identified as Ram Lal, son of Munshi Ram, a resident of Ward Number 9 RS Pura, Keemat Lal, son of Mohan Lal and Sonia Devi, wife of Keemat Lal, both residents of Dablehar.
A case under FIR Number 109/2021 under Section 48 A Excise Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Mirza Sultan conducted raid in village Bahadur Khan and destroyed around 450 litres of lahan and seized the utensils used for manufacturing illicit liquor.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta.
