REASI, Feb 4: Police today smashed an illicit liquor kiln at Kalah in Pouni and arrested the accused bootlegger .
A specific information was received in Police Station Ransoo that the accused, identified as Sat Pal, son of Birbal of Kalah , Ransoo was operating an Illicit liquor kiln and indulged in the illegal business of making/selling of illicit liquor. Police party, led by SHO Ransoo, SI Jasvinder Choudhary, swung into action and raided the liquor kiln where all material for preparation of illegal Desi liquor was seized.
Besides three liters of illicit liquor, 400 ltrs of Lahan was also recovered and destroyed on the spot. Police arrested the accused person and registered a case FIR number 02/2019 U/S 48(d) (e) (f) Excise Act at Police Station Ransoo.
The entire operation was conducted under supervision of Dy SP Hqrs, Reasi, Dr Nikhil Gogna.
