JAMMU, Jan 22: IkkJutt Jammu today sought a high level probe into the alleged Jihadi connections of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti with terrorist organisations operating in the State as the same was testified by two former RAW chiefs of the country.
Addressing a press conference here today, Chairman IkkJutt Jammu Ankur Sharma accused Mehbooba Mufti of trying to pit Gujjar and Bakkarwal Muslims against Hindus of Jammu for using them in the Jihadi demographic war. “The malicious designs of Mehbooba Mufti are understood by all segments of society in Jammu province and people will not allow her to succeed in creating communal trouble in Jammu where Gujjars and Hindus are living together with harmony,” he said while referring to recent statement of PDP chief on alleged harassment of Gujjars in Jammu.
Also ridiculing Mehbooba Mufti’s Minority formulation, Ankur Sharma said that in J&K it is not the Muslims but Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Christians constitute minorities. “This fact has even been stamped by the Supreme Court of India in PIL No. 489/2016 titled Ankur Sharma V. Union of India and others. Despite this, Mehbooba Mufti’s reference to Muslims as minorities exposes her fanaticism and bigotry,” he said.
IkkJutt Jammu chief described Mehbooba Mufti as a frontline Jihadi instrument to subvert the democratic set up in Jammu by using it from within and outside to Islamise the entire State. “Mehbooba Mufti during her tenure as CM of the State took decisive steps to run the State throwing the Constitution into dust bin. She pushed the Muslim State of Jammu and Kashmir to become an Islamist State,” he alleged.
Ankur Sharma urged Governor SP Malik to grant Minority status to Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians and Jains in J&K and also immediately withdraw the illegal February 14, 2018 order which constituted a total negation of the Criminal Procedure Code/Ranbir Penal Code and Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals Act”, which according to IkkJutt Jammu chief, was nothing but an officially sponsored move to change demography of all strategic locations in the Jammu province in general and that of Kathua, Samba, Jammu and Udhampur districts in particular.
“IkkJutt Jammu understood Mehbooba Mufti’s whole sinister game plan and that was the primary reason that it took in its own hand the issue of great national import,” he said.
At the same time, IkkJutt Jammu chief expressed its deep concern over the indifferent attitude of the Jammu-based political leaders to the challenges being posed by Jihadis in and outside the political establishment to the national security and Jammu’s demography.
