SIRMAUR, Sept 4: Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur celebrated 7th Foundation Day with zeal and enthusiasm.
On the occasion, IIM Sirmaur organized a virtual motivational talk on the topic- `What will I tell my 25-year old self- Master Your Thinking’ delivered by Amit Kasliwal, a renowned Meta Practitioner. A virtual competition, titled “Happy Memories@IIM Sirmaur” was also organized for current batches and alumni of the Institute.
The virtual motivational talk typically focused on why only a few who inspire? Why do only a few know the art of engaging others? Why do only a few discover their butterflies every single day? Amit Kasliwal emphasised that it’s not about superhuman or natural inborn ability. He highlighted that these people have mastered the science of thinking, which inspires them and others for better actions. Afterwards, he encouraged the participants by saying that “if we can master our thinking, we can master anything in our life: career, relationships, life purpose, fulfilling our ambitions, almost anything”.
Later, he enlightened the participants to understand the importance of being alive in the moment and how to follow focused ambition. Also, he put forth that using the pathway of Science of Meta Practice, one can develop the capacities to achieve different legit aspirations in life.
Amit Kasliwal stressed that a good leader and manager needs to have a controlled mind to work successfully. He also shared some quick hacks with the students on how to train your mind with the tune of aliveness in the moment. “Growth is always about encountering and conquering the pain of pushing our boundaries to level up ourselves, he said.
Earlier, Subhrangi Mishra, a student of MBA06 batch and member of Rangmanch Club presented a welcome address. The event witnessed participations from faculty, staff and students of IIM Sirmaur.
Towards, the end of the session, Prof. Pradipta Patra, PGP Chairperson at IIM Sirmaur shared few words with the participants and reflected upon the importance of right way of thinking in life.
The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Rinki Dahiya, Convenor of Event Management Committee and Faculty at IIM Sirmaur. She conveyed sincere gratitude to Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Director IIM Sirmaur on the occasion of 7th Foundation Day of IIM Sirmaur.
