Sir,
Today it is a sad state of affairs that  we have polluted air and chemically treated water in and around.
The forests cover across the world is  shrinking fast due to selfish ends of the wicked people who are hell bent upon damaging the forest wealth. On an average, during the past decade, 13 million hectares of forests  were destroyed annually. Forests are carbon sinks, they absorb a lot of the carbondioxide released by polluting emissions and so help us in keeping the environment  clean.  Damage to the ecology need not be an inevitable by product of technological progress. When human values are ignored, technology brings pollution. Forest covers need to grow. Trees are  channels that help us connect with the divine. The rich flora and fauna provide nourishment to assist all beings to co-exist in greater harmony. We breathe freely when we are surrounded by other life forms. The pure energy of the forests help our body and mind to expand.
Besides, vehicular pollution needs to checked by taking stringent action against those who pollute air.
Yours etc…
S  N Raina
