RAJOURI, Nov 21: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh reviewed the crime position and over all functioning of District Police with all supervisory officers including SHOs, investigating officers at DPL here this afternoon.
During visit, IGP Jammu Zone was accompanied by Vivek Gupta, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range and Yougal Manhas, SSP Rajouri.
During meeting, detailed discussion on important cases of each Police Station of district Rajouri was held. The Investigating Officers and Supervisory Officers were given detailed instructions to improve the quality of investigation and ensure effective Parvy and prosecution cases. The SHOs of the district were instructed to identify few cases in their jurisdiction which should be taken up on priority in which the SHOs shall make personal efforts for attendance of witnesses during trial. The status of crime meetings at district level was reviewed and the officers were instructed to hold regular crime meetings in their area of jurisdiction for improving the quality of investigation in their area. They were also directed to write regularly supervisory notes in special reported cases.
Besides, above the schedule of inspection of various police offices and police stations were also finalized and it was instructed that the Inspections should be done in a time bound manner.
Singh also reviewed the welfare measures and initiative taken by district police for greater police public contacts.
Investigating Officers whose performance was good were awarded with Commendation Certificate Class-I along-with suitable cash reward.
