JAMMU, June 26: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Mukesh Singh has launched a portal aimed at drugs free Jammu.
IGP launched the online portal https://drugsfreejammu.nic.net.in providing feature of online reporting and information related to drug abuse, sale and usage of narcotics drugs here today at Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu.
DIG JKS Range Bhim Sen Tuti and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil were present on the occasion.
The main features of the portal are online initiative to make drugs free Jammu and online platform for people to report various offence and information related to drugs and drug abuse.
People can report shipment and transportation of drugs, storage of drugs, usage of drugs, selling of drugs and promoting drugs usage.
The platform provides users with information regarding harmful effects of drugs as well. The special feature of the platform is identity of person giving information is kept confidential in all the process.
