JAMMU, May 22: A one-day orientation programme of Kendriya Vidyalaya functionaries was organized by the Regional Centre Jammu in which Principals and other functionaries of sixteen Kenrdiya Vidyalayas of Jammu region participated.
The participating KVs included KV No.1, Akhnoor, KV No.2, Akhnoor, KV Bantalab, KV No.1, Gandhi Nagar, KV No.2, Gandhi Nagar, KV Miran Sahib, KV Sunjwan, KV Jindrah, KV Damana, KV Nagrota, KV Lakhanpur, KV Hiranagar, KV No.1, Udhampur, KV No.2 Udhampur, KV Chenani and KV Rajouri. The orientation programme was organized at Government MAM College, Jammu.
IGNOU has, for the first time, established more than 200 examination centres in Kendriya Vidyalayas all over country for the forthcoming June 2017 Term-End Examinations which include sixteen Kendriya Vidyalayas in Jammu region. June 2017 Term-End Examinations of IGNOU are being held from 1st June, 2017 to 20th June 2017. The aim of this orientation programme was to familiarize KV functionaries with the scheme and system of examinations in IGNOU. Various activities involved in the conduct of examinations were discussed in detail. Several queries raised by the participants were replied to in detail by the Regional Centre Jammu functionaries in an interactive session.
Dr Joginder Kumar Yadav, Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu, expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of orientation programme and asserted that the forthcoming examinations would be conducted in a fair and smooth manner with the cooperation and support of Kendriya Vidyalayas. Assistant Regional Directors, Vikram Singh, Dr Sandeep Gupta, Dr Asha Upadhyay, Assistant Registrar, Tejinder Pal Singh, Executive Assistant, Dara Singh, Rakesh Koul and Lakhbir Singh were part of the orientation team from Regional Centre Jammu.
