JAMMU, Jan 17: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched new programmes under different schools.
According to Dr Kamlesh Meena, Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar, the School of Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS), IGNOU has launched Master of Arts Corporate Social Responsibility (MACSR) programme from January 2022 session onwards.
This programme has been launched by the scaling up of the PGDCSR programme that has already been launched in the January 2021 session. The existing PGDCSR LSCs have been activated as MACSR in the online admission portal. The MACSR is meant for CSR professionals across India and for graduates / post-graduates interested in pursuing a career as a CSR Professional.

The Objectives of the programmes are to impart knowledge and understanding about CSR through Open and Distance Learning, to expand the capacity of learners on various theoretical and practical aspects of CSR and development work, to develop professional knowledge in formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of CSR projects and programmes, and to equip the learners with the needed skills in corporate ethics, governance and conflict resolution.
