IED blast, grenade attacks in Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 5: Militants today triggered a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Dangerpora area of South Kashmir, while grenades were thrown at security forces in Kupwara and Srinagar.

However, there was no loss of life or injury in the explosion which took place at Dangerpora area.
The IED was placed near a shop.  The area was cordoned off and further investigations have been taken up by police.
Meanwhile, militants this morning lobbed a grenade on a security forces near Bus Stand in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The militants hurled a grenade at a QRT vehicle near Bus Stand Kupwara. However, the grenade didn’t explode.
The area was cordoned off but no one was arrested.
Militants this evening lobbed a grenade on police post Urdu Bazar in Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar. However, no loss of life or injury was reported.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
