Idol of Guru Gyagi Ji unveiled

JAMMU, Feb 14: A large number of devotees from entire Jammu region thronged Amareshwar Temple at Chatha Gujran near here today to take part in religious programme wherein idol unveiling ritual of Guru Gyagi Ji was performed.
The programme started with Havan and Puja-Archana after which devotees recited Kirtan and paid obeisance to the deity.
Religious leader, Shastri Jeevan Bhardwaj while addressing devotees on this occasion said, we must remain strict to our civilization, culture and religion as it is like a goldmine with rich values, wisdom and vision.
The ceremony was hosted by Pujari Birendra Kaith where J&K Batwal Welfare Association president, Subedar Major (Retd) Romesh Sargotra and JMC Councillor Rashpal Bhardwaj jointly unveiled the idol of Sri Guru Gyagi Ji installed in the temple premises in the presence of Guru’s disciple Bawa Amar Nath Ji.
After Puran Ahuti, Parshad was served among devotees.
Earlier, the devotees offered prayers for Uttrakhand disaster victims and wished speedy recovery to those injured in the calamity.
