Idea Cellular launches major project for migrant schools

JAMMU, Dec 16: Idea Cellular Limited in collaboration with Relief Organization Jammu launched a major project under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for migrant schools.
The project was launched from Government Higher Secondary School Purkhoo (Migrants) by Shafiq Ahmad Raina, Commissioner/Secretary to Government Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department.
Under the project, the Idea Cellular Limited augmented the School library with books and provided sports kits, and LED screen for enabling smart classes and E-literacy in the Migrant school.
Chief HR, M/s Aditya Birla Group, Vinay Razdan, CSR Head, Dr Nilay Ranjan also announced education tour for meritorious students of the migrant schools to Mumbai.
The M/s Idea Cellular Ltd shall be covering all the migrant schools under this project for which all the heads of the institutions which were present on the occasion, were requested to provide with the needs/requirements of their respective institutions.
The launch ceremony was also attended by ML Raina, Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), Jammu, KK Sidha, Deputy Commissioner, Relief Jammu/Srinagar, Sudershan Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Relief Migrants and other officers from the Relief Organization. While speaking on the occasion, ML Raina requested the representatives of M/s Aditya Bira Group to assist the Relief Organization and the State in health, education sector and skilling of educated youth.
