IDA conducts workshop for dental students

JAMMU, June 22: Indian Dental Association (IDA) Jammu today conducted a workshop and hands-on session for the dental students at Ivy Clinic, Gandhi Nagar.
The workshop was free of cost for the students who are the members of IDA Jammu. Dr Parul Verma, a qualified cosmetologist and endodontist, conducted this workshop. Dr Verma is an executive member of the IDA.
Dr Verma’s expertise in both dentistry and facial aesthetics allows her to understand the intricate connection between the head, neck and facial features. This in-depth knowledge translates into a more personalized and effective treatment plan for each visitor. During the workshop, Dr Verma demonstrated facial aesthetic procedures in detail to the participants.
Secretary IDA Jammu, Dr Vibha Raina, said that this hands-on workshop will equip the dentists to provide the latest advancements in cosmetic dentistry to the patients. The various procedures demonstrated in the workshop included chemical peels, medifacials, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy, botox injections and dermal fillers.
Dr Himja Mengi, vice-president of IDA Jammu, said that such workshops shall be conducted in future so as to equip the new dentists with the facial aesthetics procedures. This will not only broaden the scope of their work but also let them enter in the new field with lot of opportunities.
