SRINAGAR, Sept 29: The Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Supervisors today demanded the release of their pending salaries for last more than 10 months.
Scores of ICDS Supervisors assembled at the Press Enclave here and staged a protest demonstration to press for their demands.
“We have assembled here today to inform the concerned departments about the non-payment of salaries to ICDS Supervisors; something which has now taken a toll on us,” the ICDS Supervisors said.
They said that while they have not been given a single penny for long now, they are being treated as casual labourers. “We are regular employees of the department but we are being treated worse than daily wagers,” they said.
They said that the Government is being callous towards their apathy and due which their children are suffering immensely.
We are appealing the concerned higher-ups to look into the matter and address our issues without any further delay.
