JAMMU, Mar 9: A Kavi Sammelan programme was organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Union Ministry of External Affairs, Regional Office, Jammu at Regional Passport Office here today under the monthly Horizon Series.
The event began with a warm facilitation by Rajesh Kumar, Regional Director, ICCR, J&K by presenting flower bouquet to the artistes.
In today’s programme Abdul Qadir Kundria, Usha Kiran, Susheel Begana and Pawan Verma recited some of their Dogri poems.
These artists have written a number of Dogri poems and all of them have been rewarded by various awards. They have also received many accolades from critics and eminent people from literature.
The poets presented their choicest verses on various themes like negative impacts of drug addiction, Women Empowerment, Swachhta, current issues etc.
Another striking feature of the programme was versatile anchoring by Neeraj Kant.
The programme was coordinated by Reena Salathia, Cultural Officer, ICCR, RO Jammu.
Regional Director, ICCR, J&K, Rajesh Kumar promised to organise more such programmes in future also and finally the programme was concluded by him with a vote of thanks.
