ICccR & HRM in JU organises ‘Roadmap to Success’

JAMMU, Jan 29: The International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, today organized a comprehensive programme on ‘Roadmap to Success’.
The programme was organized in association with Global Talent Company Ltd, Bangkok, Thailand, for the students of MBA: International Business (MBA-IB) Programme.
Prof R D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, JU, inaugurated the Programme and appreciated the efforts of Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Director, ICccR & HRM, for having created a useful platform with an international perspective as an opportunity for the students. The VC rated this event as a rare opportunity for the students to interact with world-class experienced facilitators, to polish their skills to match the expectations of the global business world.
Vidya Bhushan Dhar, Posera Inc, Totonto, Canada, presented the keynote speech on the theme ‘Expectations of the Global Corporate World’ during the Opening Session. He talked about ten golden rules for global success.
D K Bakshi, Chief Mentor and CEO, Global Talent Company Ltd, Bangkok, Thailand, deliberated upon success and its roadmap. He defined ROADMAP as R- Role clarity, O-Optimization of strengths, A-Alignment with self and others, D-Do-act- deliver, M-Motivating self and others, A-Attitude for win-win and P-Passion for excellence.
Earlier, Professor Neelu Rohmetra termed the success as a willful phenomenon of creating opportunities to serve with passion and make a difference in one’s own life as well as the lives of others. She added that success is relative and is essentially seeking to try out new things in new ways in all roles that prove useful for institutions and society at large.
Deepak Manchanda, Professional Speaker and Member, CAPS (Canadian Association of Professional Speakers) from Canada, conducted the technical sessions as the co-facilitator. He talked about several pre-requisites for being successful individuals and highlighted the ‘Wisdom Triangle’ that professionals need to pursue for achieving corporate goals.
The programme was spread across various sessions, wherein the participants were trained to stimulate to rethink, reorient, reorganize and establish to remain aligned with the objective of achieving reward and recognition. The programme concluded with a feedback session alongwith the distribution of certificates to the participants.
Students from MBA-IB Programme, MBA students from The Management School, Kathua Campus, JU and also the Management research scholars of the University of Jammu, attended the programme. The faculty members at ICccR & HRM and The Management School also attended the Programme.
Isha Sharma and Dr Amrinder Singh from ICccR & HRM, were the Programme Coordinators.
