RAJOURI, Mar 27: Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Panihad, also holding charge of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Peeri, in Rajouri district today died while on way to check functioning of schools in Swari area of Kandi.
Official sources said that I/C ZEO Rajesh Gupta, resident of Jawahar Nagar in Rajouri, had gone to Swari area for inspection of some schools. While walking towards a school in remote Swari area, Gupta complained of uneasiness and pain in the chest at around 11.30 am. He was brought to the nearby school but he died there after some time.
Block Medical Officer Kandi, Dr Iqbal Malik said that Education Officer was died of possible cardiac arrest. The body was sent for postmortem.
