MENDHAR, Oct 30: The Sub Divisional Administration today placed an In charge Nari Niketan of Social Welfare Department at Mendhar town.
Action was taken by the Administration after receiving various complaints regarding absence of staff of Nari Niketan, Mendhar. On the directions of SDM, Dr Sahil Jandyal, Naib Tehsildar Mendhar Afzal Choudhary paid a surprise visit of Nari Niketan today.
During visit he found Shahnaz Akhter Craft Teacher / Incharge Nari Niketan Mendhar absent from duty and the space of signature on attendance register w.e.f. 28-10-2019 to 30-10-2019 was found blank. Moreover, no sanctioned leave application of the above official was found in the attendance register and as per verbal statement of students of Nari Niketan she had not attended office after 24-10-2019. The kitchen was found in bad condition and children taking unhygienic food. There no water in the wash rooms during the visit.
The SDM placed the official under suspension and directed the Tehsildar to hold detailed inquiry and submit report within 15 days. She will remain attached in the office of Tehsildar Mendhar. In the meantime, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Mendhar has been directed to make suitable arrangements for the proper functioning of Nari Niketan, Mendhar.
