Hyundai showcases ICC World Twenty20 2012 ‘Last Ball Tour

Chandigarh, Oct  4: Hyundai Motor India Limited, (HMIL) the country’s second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter today announced the Hyundai ICC World Twenty20 2012 ‘Last Ball Tour’. Hyundai holds the exclusive rights to showcase the set of Cricket Balls which will be used in the final match of the ICC World Twenty20 on October 7, 2012 in Sri Lanka.
Reiterating its commitment towards cricket, HMIL is showcasing these cricket balls for Hyundai customers and cricket enthusiasts across Hyundai showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chandîgarh, and Guwahati.
Hyundai officials will hand over the set of cricket balls to the match umpire, an hour prior to the final match. The umpires will choose and decide which cricket ball will be used in the match.
Announcing the Last Ball Tour, C H Han, Executive Director HMIL, said, “As the official sponsor of ICC World Twenty20, we are extremely delighted to bring the ‘Last Ball Tour’ to the passionate cricket fans. We believe that these initiatives provide us a platform to enhance our association and interaction with our customers and take our brand association to the next level”.
The tour comprises of a convoy of Eon cars, decorated with flags from all the participating nations at the ICC World Twenty20 2012. Adding more excitement among the cricket fans in a fun filled environment, special activities are being organized at the dealerships, which include games and quizzes on cricket, contests on juggling balls, and a special graffiti wall where fans can pen their thoughts and cheer for their favourite teams and players.
HMIL has organized various customer centric initiatives during the entire duration of the ICC World Twenty20 2012. The cricket enthusiasts can watch the live screenings of the matches in the ‘Hyundai Fan Park’ at select shopping malls in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. A special cricket anthem, ‘Fans of Brilliance’ sung by the famous playback singer Shaan celebrates the spirit of the game and the passion of its fans.
A special microsite – www. hyundaifob.com  has been  developed for the entire World Cup tournament. Also the visitor can share the brilliant moments of the matches and win exciting prizes. The microsite has links to Hyundai’s presence in the social media like Facebook, Youtube etc.
