JAMMU, June 23: Rejecting Hurriyat Conference move to hold talks with displaced Kashmiri Pandits from Valley, Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee (JMWC) today said the conglomerate should first apologies publicly for the anti KP tirade launched by them during 1989-90.
The JMWC, which met today under the chairmanship of Pintoo Ji while discussing recent move of the Hurriyat said that there is no harm in holding dialogue but with whom the Pandits will talk.
Will we talk the perpetrators of violence who were responsible for forced exodus of minority Hindus from Valley, who indulged in selective killings of community members and asked them to leave the Valley in 24 hours, he asked?
He said the separatists created fear psychosis among the KPs by labeling them as Indian agents and informers. The massacres of Chattisingpora, Vandhhama, Nadimarg, Sangrampora are still fresh in our memories.
JMWC said since KPs have been victimized every time for hundreds of years so they can’t trust upon those people who are solely responsible for the mass exodus of the community as they have no guarantee that the future exodus after our return to Valley will not take place.
The JMWC asked Hurriyat to accept its evil deeds and human rights violations and seek a public apology for the wrongs done by it over the years after demolishing the secular values of the State. The meeting decided that under the prevailing circumstances and role of separatists, nothing accept a single township is acceptable to Pandits.
