Hurriyat leaders’ effigies burnt

PHAGWARA (PUNJAB), Sept 14:
Activists of Bhagwan Shri Valmiki Yuva Vikas Committee burnt effigies of Hurriyat leaders here for allegedly vitiating the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Led by its president Anu Sahota, the protesters also demanded registration of cases of sedition against Hurriyat leaders and withdrawal of their security and other Government facilities to them.
Raising slogans against Hurriyat leaders last night, they alleged that these leaders were dancing to the tunes of their Pakistani bosses and lords of trans-border terrorism.
“BJP-led NDA Government, that talked of rooting out terrorism, should initiate stringent action against Hurriyat leaders and put them behind bars for keeping the Kashmir pot boiling,” demanded Sahota. (PTI)
