KARGIL, Nov 16 : Hundreds of people in Kargil, staged a massive protest against Waseem Rizvi who is regularly giving statements hurting religious sentiments and writing books that are hurting the sentiments of crores of persons.
Organized jointly by Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Anjuman Sufia Noorbakshia, and Anjuman Ahl Sunnat Wal Jamaat, the rally embarked from Jama Masjid Kargil after prayers and passed through main Bazar Kargil towards Islamia School Chowk and finally culminated at Lal Chowk Kargil.
Addressing the gathering president Anjuman Sufia Noorbakshia Syed Mohammad Shah said that now people don’t even like to take the name of Waseem Rizvi as he has started speaking foul about Quran.
“When he released the book, he has enemies of Islam behind him which shows that he is backed by a group with wicked interests. He is not among any particular sect of Islam but he is from the rank of enemies and his goal is to create dispute among various sects of Islam”, said Shah.
Syed Mohammad Shah further appealed to the Government authorities to take strict action against Waseem Rizvi over disheartening the feelings of millions of people.
The representative of Ahl Sunnat expressed concern over the silence of the Government over such a controversial statement against the holy Quran and the Prophet of Islam.
Speaking on the occasion, Guardian Council member, Asgar Ali Karbalai said, “As you know that communal hatred is intentionally being fuelled in India. The minorities are being threatened, scared, and disheartened. Waseem Rizvi took birth in a Muslim family but he became a puppet in hands of enemies to demean Islam. He produced the video on Ram Janabhumi and embarked on a campaign against Babri mosque. He is the one who advocated removing 26 verses from the Quran. The judiciary also expressed concern over his blasphemy that resulted in disheartening of the Muslim community.
“He was aimed to create hatred among different sects of Islam, but his act was counterproductive and resulted in the strengthening of unity among Muslim sects.
“Failed in past bits, he hatched a new wicked act to demean the Prophet of Islam”.
“In this situation, if the Muslims don’t unite and stand in unison, all Muslims and all minorities will fall prey to the wicked policies of these communal groups. Now they have opened the battlefield only against two communities that are Christians and Islam but actually, they will vanish all those who disagree with them.
Syed Mohammad Shah further appealed to the administration to make arrangements for civil airlines to ease people to move in the Winter season. He also appealed to accelerate the recruitment process in UT.
