Humanitarian act

Among various steps taken by the Governor to infuse vitality to languishing administration in the State one is a recent order according to which 29 wards of Government employees who died while in harness will be provided employment in respective departments. SRO-43 states that the ward of a Government employee who dies in harness will be given employment. There are 29 such cases with the administration and these have been pending for last eight years for reasons not known. Governor’s instructions to the concerned departments are that regular appointment of these cases should be completed within 120 days as per the stipulation of the SRO. The family of the deceased Government employee will feel happy and thankful to the Governor for coming to their rescue. There could be more humanitarian cases awaiting disposal but stuck up in the bureaucratic labyrinth.
