KISHTWAR, June 28: The famous Hudh Mata Yatra was flagged off today from the historic Gori Shankar Temple Sarkoot.
The yatra was flagged off by State Vice President BJYM Ashish Sharma from Gori Shankar temple Sarkoot.
While speaking, Ashish Sharma said that they are witnessing rise in the religious tourism in the district.
“For the upcoming Machail Yatra we are expecting heavy rush of pilgrims this year also, which will strengthen the economic and temporary job sectors”, he added.
Administration besides acting in a routine manner, should take some serious steps for the facilitation of devotees throughout the yatra routes of Hudh Mata, Machail Mata, Sarthal Devi or Urs being celebrated every year at the famous Ziyarats of Kishtwar.
Reacting to recent pro-azadi and anti-national slogans raised by the miscreants on the eve of Eid, Sharma asked the administration to deal with iron hands with these people and take strict steps to stop these activities in the future.
