JAMMU, Apr 12: The staff members of Government Higher Secondary School Gao Brahmana in Ramgarh area held a demonstration in the school premises in protest against the Sarpanch Rampaul who along with his 100 supporters entered the school premises this morning and protested against the authorities for not consulting him in starting construction of compound wall and school building.
The Sarpanch and his supporters resorted to protest against the education authorities and shouted slogans against them. Taking serious exception to the attitude of the Sarpanch for staging a dharna inside the school premises the staff also resorted to protest demanding action against the Sarpanch and his supporters for trying the vitiate atmosphere in the school.
The protesting staff said that in case Sarpanch had any grievances he should have protested outside the school and not in the School premises to disturb the smooth functioning of the School.
Later the Chief Education Officer Samba, Ravi Kumar Dubey visited the School to defuse the situation. He also sought a detailed report from principal of the School, Sham Lal Bhagat and held a meeting with the staff. However, the staff refuted to lift the dharna till action is taken against the Sarpanch.
