HRDC of JU concludes Faculty Induction Program

JAMMU, Jan 23: The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), University of Jammu, today concluded four week long Faculty Induction Program, known as Gurudakishta, being held from 27th December 2021 through online mode.
The participants were from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and from the entire Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir. It is one of the programmes which was held for the first time online after the breakout of the COVID 19. The participants were from the different disciplines and belonging to the Colleges and the Universities.
Prof Manoj K Dhar, JU Vice Chancellor, in his presidential remarks, hoped that research & the teaching will be equally emphasized in a balanced way by the young faculty who have completed the Gurudakshita program. He hoped that all of the participants will help to rekindle the joys of education through the teaching among their students when the participants would be returning back to their classes with more of vigour.
A total of 57 eminent Resource persons of diverse disciplines across India shared their respective field’s expertise with the participants. The major focus was on the Research, Teaching, well being of the health and the finance related aspects.
Prof Sandeep K Pandita, the Director of the HRDC, JU, welcomed the participants and extended them the invite to attend many such programs in HRDC JU.
Prof Rajiv Rattan Sharma, the program Coordinator, praised the participants and all the Resource persons who kept the virtual platform live with academic interaction for 27 days.
Ranjit Kalra, teaching faculty, HRDC, JU, proposed the vote of thanks and hoped that in the times to come many of such programs would be held by HRDC, JU.
