NEW DELHI, Mar 13: The Union Human Resource and Development Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal today released a book on Kashmir “Rakht Gulab”- The Blood Rose, written by Ashish Kaul.
Ashish Kaul is a media veteran, wrote his third book on terrorism in Kashmir.
Rakht Gulab has already created a sensation by being sold out on its first day on Amazon. The book has been published by the Rajhans Prakashan.
Kaul said “It is a proud moment for me personally, but I believe the battle for restoring true peace in Kashmir has just begun. The world has remained silent for far too long and ignored the state-sponsored, multipronged genocide of Kashmiri Pandits.”
He further said that till date, he interacted with about 5000 students across the country to educate them about the true story of terrorism in Kashmir and how nearly 1.2 lac families were rendered homeless and about 5 lac people directly or indirectly impacted by the mindless massacre.
“It is an irony that Kashmiri Pandits were labelled as refugees in our own country whereas we are the only community that are the greatest ambassadors of peace and brotherhood despite being massacred and rendered homeless”, said Kaul.
The Minister was also presented a copy of the earlier bestseller Refugee Camp authored by Ashish Kaul. The foreword of “Refugee camp” has been written by the former Chief of the Army Staff General, JJ Singh.
