KATRA, June 13: Hotel and Restaurant Association (HRA), Katra today met a high level team headed by Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sheetal Nanda, at PWD Guest House here and had a detailed discussion pertaining to the important problems of Katra.
Sheetal Nanda accompanied by Superintending Engineer, PHE, Tehsildar Reasi, Executive Engineer, PHE, Deputy Director, H&UD, Assistant Executive Engineer, PHE, Naib Tehsildar, Katra, Assistant Engineer, M&RE, Sub-division, Katra, besides representatives of various departments during the 2 hour meeting with the delegation, was seized by the grievances of the Katra people.
The delegation discussed almost all the problems like acute shortage of water, overcharging by pony and Palki walas at Katra Bhawan, cleanliness and removal of pit holes from Katra town, ban on usage of polythene bag, regulation of vehicular movement for avoiding day to day road jams, providing sufficient water coolers for the pilgrims and their proper regularization, starting of filtration plant at Katra which is not working at present, twenty four hours pumping of water from Jhajjar by PHE Department, etc.
The Deputy Commissioner gave on spot directions to the concerned Departments and assured early redressal of issues raised in the meeting.
Among others who attended the meeting were Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sardari Lal Dubey, Virender Kesar, Ajay Kotwal, Sumit Khajuria, Awtar Suri, etc.
