Housing Board launches demolition drive against encroachments

JAMMU, Dec 24 : Khilafwarzi wing of J&K Housing Board launched an intensive demolition drive removing the encroachments and checking violations of the granted building permission byelaws.
Khilafwarzi Wing removed the encroachment from Housing Board land in Sector No.3 and cleared encroachments from front of shopping complex in Sector No.2 meant for frequent movement of general purpose. The Khilafwarzi wing also stopped illegal construction in Plot Nos.24-28 Sector No.1-A, at Housing Colony, Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Construction works being carried out in violation of set norms/building byelaws in Plot No.534 Sector No.4, Plot No.238 Sector No.3 were also stopped. The demolition of encroachment was carried out in the presence of concerned Deputy General Manager and Senior Manager escorted by the Police personal of the concerned Police Station. Encroachers and violators are warned not to indulge in encroachments and violations as these would be demolished at their risk and costs, says a press note issued by the Housing Board.
