JAMMU, July 29: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Salehar area of Tehsil RS Pura, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Vandana, wife of Mohan Singh, a resident of Salehar Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
After conducting post-mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated by Arnia Police in this regard.
