SAMBA, May 6: A married woman committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in village Abtal area of sector Ramgarh in district Samba under mysterious circumstances today.
Police said she consumed poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her residence in village Abtal sector Ramgarh in district Samba this morning. When her family members saw her in unconscious condition, they immediately shifted her to Community Health Centre Ramgarh for treatment, where doctor washed her stomach and referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for further treatment but she died during the treatment.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for autopsy.
The deceased has been identified as Seema Devi, 35, wife of Pawan Kumar resident of Abtal Camp Ramgarh.
In this regard Police has registered the case and started investigation. However no arrest has been made so far.
