KISHTWAR, Mar 11: A house was gutted in fire in Koriya, Bhandarkoot, resulting into loss of property worth several lakhs.
As per police sources, a house owned by Mohammad Ramzan, son of Rahim Malik at Koriya, Bhandarkoot caught fire due to short circuit this afternoon.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and fire fighters were pressed into service to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control but till then, five rooms of the house got completely damaged, resulting into loss of several lakhs.
No casualty or injury has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss has not been ascertained yet.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
